The Peace and Social Justice Ministry is partnering with the Youth and Young Adult Ministry this Advent to collect items for the Next Step Shelter and for families in need at Kuhio Park Terrace Housing also known as KPT. We are collecting hygiene items like soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpastes, etc, and items for families moving to transitional housing from the shelter. The Next Step Shelter is making "move-in" kits with common household items for homeless families in transition, including towels, bed sheets, blankets, dish sets, etc.

Also, the Teen Center at KPT will be having a penny sale for their families in need to purchase items for their children and family members for only a penny. We are donating all of the items for their Christmas penny sale, including children's toys, items for young girls and boys, babies, toddlers, & teens, and even gifts for parents. These will provide gifts for their families for Christmas. Please see the posters in the Church for a list of items wanted for both the Shelter and KPT and see the display and collection box at the entrance of the church. Please bring all of your UNWRAPPED items to the Church or Church Office by Sunday, December 13. Mahalo!
