Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Grace and Peace in our Lord Jesus!

Please find inserted in our Parish bulletin the Statutes of the Pastoral Council of Mary, Star of the Sea Parish. Our beloved Bishop Larry promulgated the norms for Parish Pastoral Councils in the Diocese in November of 2018. All the parishes in the diocese are required by the norms to have a functioning pastoral council with statutes by Sunday, June 9,

2019. We have had a functioning PPC for six years under my term as your Pastor. We received the norms and I called the PPC for meetings to adopt the template given by the Diocese. It took us three meetings to finalize our statutes which are attached for your information and guidance.

I am happy to inform you that together with Fr. Pat, we selected and are appointing the members of our Parish Pastoral Council according to the PPC norms. They are the following non ex-officio members: Teddy Adorable, Maria Adversalo, Richard Conradt, Frances Doyle, Sheri Gleason, Mely McGivern, Diane Nakanishi, and Cynthia Young. The ex- officio members are: Fr. Pat Labasano, SSS, Deacon Raffy Mendoza, Lisa Foster, Margaret Rufo, Nichelle Soriano and yours truly.

May I request you to pray that all of us may devotedly work together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of our Blessed Mother as we continue building the Kingdom of God here in our local parish.
